Membership to the Canadian Association of Police Governance (CAPG) provides access to training, information and peer support that help boards govern effectively and consistently across Canada.

The National Police Governance Training and Development Program is the primary learning pathway for board members. It offers:

  • Foundational modules on governance and legislated duties
  • Upcoming modules on strategic planning, financial management, policy development and HR practices
  • A consistent framework for understanding civilian oversight across Canada

Members can also access a resource database, policy library, templates, guides, recorded webinars and discussion forums.
